Transylmania![]() To sum it up, Transylmania is about a group of American college students who travel to Transylvania for a some sort of exchange program. Upon arriving at the university (formerly a vampire castle), the students are entangled in the former castles residents plot to revive his lovely and busty bride. What can I say about Transylmania that hasn't been said about a cat who eats blue cheese and poops on a toaster oven? It simply stunk. And then, it got even worse. From the very beginning, there were signs of distasteful humor and horrible acting. About five minutes in, I decided to focus more on the story line and forget about comedy, since there would clearly be none. Low and behold, there was no story line! Therefore, I was left with one thing and one thing only..... move to another movie. However, since it was a free screening, I could not follow my buddy into the 2012 screening next door, otherwise I'd miss out on the opportunity to explain to you just how much I want those two hours of my life back! That's right, this movie was put together from scrap pieces from a comedy bone yard, where already recycled jokes have been sent to die, only to be revived and used in straight to video comedies that we've never heard of. It's been a long time since my patience and intelligence have been insulted in such a manner. Bad writing, bad directing, bad acting. If the film were any longer, I'd give it 4 thumbs down. But since I'm only allowed two per movie, I'll give this one 2, and save the rest for the sequel. |
